Too Old For McDonalds

Hi everyone! The past few weeks have been a crazy blur.

My services are all going well! I've had a few more funny moments at the elementary school. One little girl asked me how old I was, so I told her I'm 20. She gasped, "You're too old for McDonalds!" XD  Personally, it's not my favorite fast food place, but I do like their breakfast food. I don't feel too old for it yet. XD

When I went to the Bird Refuge last week, I got to sort through the contents of some storage bins. One was all about bats, and it had a couple little skeletons inside of it! I can't believe how small and fragile they are! I got a picture of one. The other crate was full of models of different animal tracks and scat. XD The model tracks were made of a really greasy, nasty-feeling rubber, so I didn't like touching them. I had to rebag and label some that were old and faded. And the scat models were jars full of candy. XD Everything from milk duds to represent deer poo and melted white chocolate to represent bird poo. It cracked me up.

This Saturday, I got to attend Makady's gymnastics meet! She performed so well! It was super fun to go and see her do all her routines in person.

On Saturday evening, my dad and I went to a thank you dinner for all the service missionaries, their parents, and their Stake Presidents. It was a lot bigger of an event than I was expecting. XD It was pretty fun, though! We had Costa Vida, and each missionary got to stand up and share about their favorite service assignments. Of course, I had to mention that I get to sort skulls and cool stuff at the Bird Refuge. XD

I also got to go to a couple of missionary hangouts on Saturday evenings. A couple weeks ago, we played a game where one person was blindfolded and given a nerf gun with probably fifty bullets. They stood in the middle of the room and tried to shoot everyone else. XD I got shot the first few rounds because I couldn't stop laughing, but I got better at dodging as the night went on. I wasn't a very good shooter, though. XD

I'm excited for this week, because my family's going south for Thanksgiving! We're going to see family. :)

Hope everyone has been doing well! Remember to pray with feeling and to read your scriptures daily.

Love,
Sister Howard

PS: Going to attempt to attach pictures! Hopefully it works, mom!

If they show up, there's a bat skeleton from the bird refuge, Benton and I being glasses buddies at his school, and a pre-dawn sunrise picture I took on one of my morning walks. :)
