New Companion!

Hey everyone! I know I missed a week again. Sorry about that! Take a summary:

1- Distribution Center
2- Temple
3- New companion!
4- District meeting and activity

1- I've been loving the Distribution Center. I had the neat opportunity the other day to help a first-time patron get her temple clothing. She was very sweet and friendly, and so excited to go to the temple. :)

2- At the temple itself, I've had a lot of time to read the scriptures. It's very calming and relaxing. I often just open up to a random spot or try to hunt down my favorite verses. I also have a different schedule from last month, so I'm doing a few new things. I got asked to be a witness for a couple of proxy sealings and that was a cool experience! I'd never seen temple sealings before. I was able to feel the spirit really strong.

3- I've been put in a trio with Sister Koyle and Sister Francom. Sister Koyle's out of town right now, but Sister Francom and I set up a zoom meeting to get to know each other and to study. It was nice to have companion study with her!

4- We had a district meeting this Saturday. Sister Anderson and Sister Sepulvida made cherry pie for us! They said the cherries were holy because they were picked on the temple grounds. XD It was really delicious!

4- After the meeting, most of us headed to the Brigham City Fine Arts center for a hangout. I'd never been to it before. Turns out it's a slightly creepy old building full of puppet and stuff. Every time I walked down the hall, there was a life-sized puppet just STARING at me from this one room... Brrrr. I should have gotten a picture of it, but I was too chicken to get a closer look when I was alone. XD

4- We played some Jackbox games. Kind of like Kahoot where everyone joins in on a phone, but way more variety! One game was kind of like Apples to Apples. Another one was a drawing game--that I miserably failed at because we just had to scribble on our tiny phone screens. XD For the last game, we had to do extemporaneous speeches (meaning we come up with them on the spot). I thought I'd do great, but my random topic was Peppa Pig, and I've never watched it. XD  Elder Ashcraft got the topic, "Yeah, I'm boring, but what if I told you I was a serial killer?" or something like that. His was hilarious! I would have loved to do an extemporaneous speech about being a serial killer. XD

4- Sister Anderson had twisted her ankle earlier that day and it was really hurting her. When I was about to go, she asked me if I was okay. I found that a bit odd. I replied that I was honestly a little nervous to be the first one to leave because there were puppets hanging over the stairs. I asked if she was okay and she told me that she was debating about asking for a blessing. She said that she felt bad for asking sometimes.

4- I told her that she should never feel bad asking for blessings because the Atonement and the Savior's love for us are infinite. I confessed that I'd felt bad asking for blessings a few times in the past, but that it was silly to think that there was a limit or that we needed to wait a certain amount of time to ask. She thanked me, then asked the Elders for a blessing. I felt very privileged to be able to witness her blessing. It was a rather spiritual experience.

Hope everyone else is doing well! Not too much else of note has happened in the past couple of weeks. I've just been drawing, writing, and hanging out with my family. :)
