Sick As A Dog

Welp, sorry I missed last week! I got Covid. -_- It was pretty rough.

I don't think I'll have a summary because I didn't do much and I'm sure no one wants to hear details about me being sick. XD I did have my birthday on the 14th, so that was fun! I really can't believe I'm 20 now. It feels unreal...

I got an iPad for my birthday so that I could get an art program called Procreate! I've wanted to get into digital art for years, and I'm so thrilled that I was able to start this week! I won't bore everyone by going into details, but it's SO fun! I've been able to draw quite a bit, even in just a few days. I've also been able to do a lot of writing for one of my stories. I had a breakthrough with it and wrote at least 50 pages this week! Hope I can finish it soon. :D

Sweet Makady has been coming down to my room to spend lots of time with me. She even did it when I was coughing up my lungs and telling her she'd better not. She kept telling me she wasn't afraid of getting sick. She's been reading to me while I draw and it's been a great bonding experience. :)  I don't know if anyone else is a major artist, but I can't draw in silence... I have to play music, be singing or whistling, or have something going on, so it's great to listen to Makady read while I create things. 

I wasn't able to go to my services for the last couple of weeks because... well, I was sick. XD  But I'm feeling much better now. This morning was the best I've felt since before I tested positive! I plan to jump right back in to my services next week. Also, my district's planning a movie night hangout this evening, and I'm feeling good enough to go, so I'm excited! It's nice to hang out with other missionaries. :D

Not a ton else has happened, except I've had lots of time for personal study. I try to do it in the mornings. Sometimes I'm the first one awake at my house, unless my dad has work or Risa has cheer early on, so I have lots of time to read my scriptures. I've been working on catching up in my Come, Follow Me readings. I must say, if anyone wants to get even more insights from the Old Testament, find the Old Testament Institute Student Manual on Gospel Library! It's got so much good stuff in there. I've been able to learn a bunch! 

Oh, fun family update! My dad's been painting Makady's room this week. I can't remember the original color, haha... I think it was some shade of cream, maybe? But it's a light blue now and it looks so pretty! That's also why Makady's been hanging out with me a lot; her room's all covered in plastic and she can't do much in there until the painting's finished.

Didn't really take any pictures this week aside from art stuff and siblings falling asleep in weird places... So take a digital piece I'm rather proud of!
