Welcome To The Washington Spokane Mission

Dear Sister Howard ,

 

 

Welcome to the Washington Spokane Mission!  You have been called to a mission full of daily miracles!  We are so excited to meet you soon and serve beside you in this great mission.  You have been recommended by your local church leaders as one worthy to serve, and called to the work by a Prophet of God.  You will be a wonderful addition to our mission.  We need missionaries like you to invite people to come unto Christ and help them receive His restored Gospel.  We are excited for the contributions that you will make to the work of the Lord.  You will soon come to feel, as we do, that the Gathering of Israel is the greatest and most important work on Earth!

 

 

This region of the United States is one of the most beautiful in the entire country.  The landscape is diverse – from majestic mountains, evergreen forests, rivers and lakes to miles of rolling hills of grain and fruit orchards.  As spectacular as the scenery is in this mission, the people are even more incredible. You will quickly come to love them.  

 

 

We have wonderful members who love the Lord and know how to do missionary work.  You will be well loved by the members here.  We have 12 Stakes in our mission with great missionary-minded Stake Presidents and Bishops.  Those not of our faith are good-hearted, humble and friendly and many are receptive to the message of the restored gospel.  The Lord has prepared these people here to receive the gospel message from you. It really is a great time to be a missionary in the Washington Spokane Mission.  You will be a blessing to all with whom you serve both member and non-member alike.

 

 

The Washington Spokane Temple is located within our mission.  You will have the opportunity to attend the temple four times per year while you are serving. We encourage you to bring your own temple clothing, as there is a limited amount of clothing available at the temple. 

 

 

We want to learn more about you, so please email us a brief “get-to-know-you” message.  Some suggestions to include are details about family, school, career/educational goals, hobbies, accomplishments, something interesting/unique about you. We want your family and friends to follow along with your mission experience. We post pictures regularly on Facebook, so please join our Facebook Group. Your first day photos will be posted the night you arrive, so make sure your friends and family join soon!  Our Facebook Mission Group is called: Washington Spokane Mission – President & Sister LeBaron 2021- 2024. 

 

 

Please fill out the attached Personal Driving Record form and email it back to 2011565-vc@churchofjesuschrist.org. Missionary dress and grooming information is found on the church's website at: https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/callings/missionary/dress-grooming?lang=eng.  All other information you will need is found on the missionary portal. 

 

 

You may have packages sent to the mission office at: 820 S. Pines Rd. #101 Spokane Valley, WA 99206.  Please have letters sent directly to your apartment.  If you would like to have letters sent to the office, we will gladly receive them, but you will not be given those letters and/or packages until zone conference. 

 

 

The Lord has called you to serve in this mission because of your unique talents and gifts.  This is the Lord’s work, He has called you, and He will qualify you! We have seen that is true in our own lives and the lives of the many amazing missionaries who serve with us.  We are looking forward to being blessed by your service.  We are so excited to meet you, and we are praying for you. May the Lord bless you for your decision to serve Him and bless you in all your preparations.  We love you more than words can express!
